The Redstone Winterfest is just three weeks away (February 19 and 20) and the ice and festivities are fat. The classics the Drool (WI 4), Avocado Gully (WI 3, three pitches), Redstone Slabs (WI 4+, three pitches), Marble Falls (WI 3) and dozens of other ice lines are in, as are the new mixed lines Goldfinger (M6) and Thunder Thighs (M7). Come out, grab ice and test the newest gear for free from Petzl, CAMP, Grivel and Black Diamond. Gear checkout is 9 a.m. each morning at the Redstone Inn. Ice photo gallery here.

Evenings, rock out to live Texas blues by Lincoln Durham at the Crystal Club (7:30 pm). Saturday night at 7:30 there’s also a premier screening of Leo Houlding’s Psyche II (featured in the latest issue of RI) at the historic Redstone Inn ($7).

Swing by the Rock and Ice booth and sign up for free schwag from ropes to ice gear, enter our pull-up contest, and shoot the breeze with the editors or grab a beer at the beer-tasting from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday at the Inn.

Book your lodging now at the Redstone Cliffs Lodge. Tell them you are friends of Rock and Ice and get a special buddy's discount.

Stay tuned for more updates and visit Redstone Winterfest for more info.
