BEETS Building the Hayward Rec Garden

On October 11, 2011 the BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens) began designing a new, more permanent garden at Hayward Recreation Center. They decided how it should look and what measurements were need to put it together. A great sense of pride to design this project on their own.

CA Academy of Sciences

On January 28, 2012 the new 2012 spring cohort of the BEETS (Band of Environmentally Educated and Employable Teens) spent the day at the California Academy of Sciences.
