Forever Boxer Friendship

Sometimes in life, you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life, just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh, until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world;
Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Boxer Friendship.

When you're down, and the world seems dark and empty,
Your forever Boxer friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full.

Your forever Boxer friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times,
and the confused times.
If you turn and walk away, your forever Boxer friend follows.

If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you
and cheers you on.
Your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that everything is going to be okay.

And if you find such a friend,
you feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.
You have a forever Boxer friend for life,
and forever has no end.

The Golden Leash

Too soon the hourglass was empty,
Too soon you quietly stole away,
Leaving thirteen empty places,
...And me cursing that fateful day.

You'd filled my life with laughter,
Your antics were beyond compare,
Now my days are tinged by sorrow,
With tears over lost friends so rare.

I recall your each and every foible,
Your sad lives before you came to me,
How you'd healed and thrived and blossomed,
I close my eyes and your faces I see.

They say everything happens for a reason,
The divine plan we aren't meant to see,
I know I must go on for the living,
Though I still wish you were here with me.

It was your love that kept me going,
It will be love that allows a new start,
For the rest of my life, I won't forget
The Golden Leash that connects our hearts.

There is one best place to bury a good dog,
If you bury him in this spot.
He will come to you when you call - come to you over the grim, dim frontiers
of death, and down the well-remembered path, and to your side again.
And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel,
they shall not growl at him
nor resent his coming,
for he belongs there.
People may scoff at you,
who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall,
who hear no whimper;
people who may never really have had a dog.
Smile at them,
for you shall know something that is hidden from them,
and which is well worth the knowing.
The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his master.

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.

He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.

When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,

A Place for Us - Written for You

Our hearts were filled with joy
As only we can know
Our babies that we love so much
We sat and watched them grow

For when our hearts are broken
For they can only see
Their master needs their tender kiss
and their love will always be

They keep us safe and keep us warm
And watch us thru the night
a simple kiss is all they want
and they never give up the fight

For my dear Bree your Buck is gone
But never from your heart
I know your hurting and this I see
But he was safe right from the start

Sammi's love will guide him right
and help him thru each night
For please don't shed another tear
I promise they will be alright

For there will come the day my friend
we'll see them at the Bridge
And every time they give a sign
of things they use to do
We know there souls will always live
and their love is still with you

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
