Our Mission

BookGateway.com was founded by a community of book reviewers and bloggers who came together in a common goal: to promote reading. We believe that reading really is fundamental. It is our goal to promote reading at work, at school, with friends, and over the internet.

Like spending four years learning a language in High School or College can be wasted with disuse, we believe that without reading our vocabulary, comprehension skills and even our ability to communicate degrades over time. Reading flexes the muscle of the mind, keeping us sharp and making us sharper.

To that end, we openly provide detailed information on how to receive free copies of books for reviews (through the Join Us page,) and sponsor local reading events in the Nashville area. Our efforts heavily rely on word of mouth, peer to peer and via social networking.

If you would like to help encourage reading or are looking for people to help your group, club, or school with reading options please send us a message.

Here’s to a good book and a lifetime of learning!
