Lionel Young Band, recognized at 2008 & 2011 International Blues Challenge, made a “blues essential” CD of hot original tunes and unique versions of solid blues classics, ON OUR WAY TO MEMPHIS, available here (downloads coming soon).
Summer 2011 found Lionel and the band on the road, coast-to-coast: 26 blues festivals in the US and Canada; shows in NYC, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Telluride, SF & LA; Legendary Blues Cruise; successful engagements in Paris and the Blues Sur Seine Festival in France. With rave reviews at every stop, the Lionel Young Band is writing songs for a new album and buying tires to come see you again this summer. We have some new territory, great festival shows lined up, even a double-bill in Seattle with this year’s IBC Champs, Wired.
