The Guild of Accessible Web Designers (GAWDS) is a worldwide association of professional organisations, web designers and developers working together to promote the use and preservation of accessible design standards.
"Promoting a vision of the future that assumes accessible web design to be, relevant, obtainable, and not at odds with successful business practice or good visual and usable design."
Join now if you are an accessible web designer or developer, or a supporter of accessible web design.
Here is the blurb from the event organisers,
Join world-leading web designers in London for one day of workshops giving advice and best practice. If you're serious about web design, you can't afford to miss it!
Visit www.futureofwebdesign.com/workshops.html for more details.
GAWDS members get 10% off the 'workshop seats' - not sure what is meant by 'workshop seats' though. Check the mailing list for promo code.

I've put together a website to publicise my book, 60 Hot To Touch Accessible Web Design Tips.
Apart from being of interest because I think it's a good book, there is a page on the site that generates a random tip each time the page is refreshed. Refresh the page for a couple of hours you might end up being able to read the entire book for free - if you are lucky. <joke>

"..may not be as extendable as some other open source CMSs such as Plone or Drupal. However, we do feel it was one of the best we tested."
