A: Yes! Mountain bike racing is an extremely social sport and very accepting of beginners. Experience and expensive bikes are not required. Just a mountain bike with knobby tires and a helmet and your in business.
A: NO! This is an area of extremes, plan on climbing. Although you may not climb more than >750> feet per lap the climbs are steep.

The Southern Utah climate features bright sunshine, small annual precipitation, clean air and a wide daily temperature range. The St. George area is known for it’s many golf courses and mild winters however it is quickly becoming a hot spot for its diverse selection of outdoor activities. Cycling has taken hold in this once sleepy retirement community and has now become a vital form of tourism as can be seen by the many road races, centuries, gran fondos, mountain bike races, and triathlons. Outside of cycling there is also hiking, climbing, golfing, and swimming. Top off your vacation with a spa treatment at one of the many spas or a quick drive to nearby Las Vegas. This is a great event to bring the whole family!
Here at SpinGeeks we know that plans change, either intentionally or due to issues out of your control. With this in mind, we have no questions asked cancellation policy as long as the following criteria are met:
• Registrations must have been made online (mail in registrations are non-refundable).
• Cancellation requests must be made no less than 15 days before event date (no exceptions).
SpinGeeks events will not be cancelled due to weather unless the event director feels that riders safety is in jeopardy. If an event is cancelled due to extreme weather, riders will be given a 25% off coupon for any future SpinGeeks event within 12 months. Extreme weather is rare in Southern Utah and does not include rain, wind, cold, or heat. We’re thinking more in the line of ice storms or volcanoes erupting.
Any rider that registers for an event that has been cancelled by SpinGeeks ahead of the event date will be receive a 100% refund.
Transferring registrations to other riders is not allowed at this time.
