Anger Management

The CAPITAL Foundation offered a 16 hour Domestic Violence (DV) Anger Management training.  This training was for counselors and service providers that serve the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community.  Family oriented DV training is new to the API community and was never been offered in Sacramento. This training allowed improved referral options for families (our men women and youth) associated with Probation, Healthcare Providers, Mental Healthcare Providers, and local API Community based Organizations.

The training focused on techniques in counseling and treatment for Anger Management that is specific to domestic violence, and having providers be able to make the counseling and treatment culturally and linguistically appropriate. The training also included 100 hours of field practicum.

We congratulate OUR COMMUNITY-BASED PARTNERS ON THEIR ACHIEVEMENT of completing the training and practicum. These organizations now provide a valuable and unique SERVICE TO THE API COMMUNITY. Anger management and Family Violence counseling services are available for men, women, and families. Clients can call for information & location of services.
