It may not be the world’s fastest camera, but it sure is one of the most elegant. We all knew it was only a matter of time before one of the world’s finest cameras met head on with one of the worlds finest car manufacturers. Hasselblad and Ferrari have created a limited edition H4D-40 featuring a 40 Megapixel medium format sensor and True Focus AF system. The H4D Ferrari has been produced in a limited run of 499 cameras that will drain your pockets by just under $30,000.

The camera comes in an elegantly designed, hand-made glass topped case. Much like a Ferrari itself, the case also features a luxurious inner lining to keep the camera comfy.

Ian Ruhter has always been a photographer that I look up to. His work is super unique in both style & concept. His newest project Silver & Light, takes you on a journey where not very many photographers get to go.

Words from Ian’s project:

This project was created with the same spirit that america was founded on. Our intentions are to connect everyone in america through the lens of this camera and social networking sites. We can’t do this without you. We want to tell your story and show your city or town through photographs of you, and people you know. As we travel around america looking for people and places to shoot you will be able to keep track of where we are going and help us decide where we go next. Join us in our journey by liking our facebook to get yourself photographed by us.

Artist Yong Ho Ji creates these detailed and ferocious animal sculptures from recycled tires. Ji Yong-Ho has an interest in artificial mutation; each of his sculptures start in a mutated state and transform from there. His use of tires as the medium certainly express a state of mutation for these frightening creatures. To top it all off, he uses aryl gems for the animals’ eyes.

RoblesArq designed this home in the Osas Peninsula of Costa Rica. The home has a very interesting interior ventilation system.

House Mecano is a body composed of a structure, a skin and a mechanism to adapt to their environment. The Concept of the residence arises in the use of passive strategies through bioclimatic design in synergy with an automation system that controls the appropriate levels of natural ventilation through open window systems and a pulley system that alter the position and inclination of the eaves manually, promoting thermal comfort and indoor air quality. The goal will be to maximize function in the smallest space possible.

Stumbling upon mid-century postcard photographs is a lot like finding treasure. This set includes several locations, but the two that bring back memories are the Nogales and Sands Motel postcards. When I was a kid my family and I went into Nogales. I don’t remember a whole lot except that Nogales didn’t look anywhere near as nice as the photo does.

Found deep in this MCM Flickr Pool.

The Corallo House in Guatemala City is the work of the amazing Paz Arquitectura team. The house’s beauty and design feels entirely natural even though it embodies such a modern aesthetic. From the balcony to the stairs and then to the integrated living room tree, everything about this house is magnificent. Shared from Contemporist

Geometric Pattern Wallpapers for iPad by Simon Page

Simon Page created a bunch of really great geometric pattern wallpapers for the newest (3rd generation) iPad. The wallpapers look great on the new retina screen. This is the first iPad I’ve owned and I’m blown away by the quality and the actual device itself. Can’t wait to work on apps for the iPad. Definitely will be looking for an iOS developer in the next two months.
