The Central Park Bike Tour is our most popular tour. It covers all major sights inside the Park and continues for around 2 hours.

One of the main reasons, why so many people prefer to take our bicycle tour in Central Park, is because this is the only way to see the entire Park – from the bottom to the top.

We provide high quality; well-maintained bicycles and our experienced tour guides will accompany you on your journey through the most fascinating urban park in the United States. If you prefer to explore Central Park on your own, please visit our Central Park Bike Rental section.

Please remember to bring your cameras as you will cycle by some of the most breathtaking sights in New York City. You have our word that after this ride there will not be a treasure in Central Park you don't know a lot about.

Some of the most popular places on the tour are:

  • Strawberry Fields
  • The Belvedere Castle
  • Bethesda Terrace
  • The Great Meadow
  • Jackie Onassis Reservoir
  • The Shakespeare Garden
  • The Wollman Ice Skating Rink
  • And some absolutely gorgeous locations, which we would like to keep a secret

Our Central Park Bike Tour covers the park in its entirety in about 2 hours as we break regularly at the various sights of interest. Remember to bring your camera on this eventful ride as we take you to the most attractive locations inside Central Park.

As you ride from one location to another, our tour guides provide plenty of information about the park, its history and its surroundings so there is nothing to think about except to follow us through this wondrous work of art.

The tour starts at 58th str. and Broadway (in front of Argo Tea Café) and our first stop is the famous Wollman Skating Rink where movies like Home Alone, Serendipity and Love Story have been filmed. We then continue on to the unforgettable view at the Bethesda Terrace and the Angels of Water fountain.

Our bicycle tour takes you all the way to the northern parts of Central Park where the magnificent Belvedere Castle and Shakespeare Gardens are located. Next we pass by the Great Meadow, which is where the major concerts in Central Park take place.

Our tour guides will also take you to some "secret" and absolutely stunning spots in Central Park, which you won't find on any map or guide books.

1) We decided that we want to do the bike tour. How long in advance we should make a reservation?

A) In order to ensure availability for the desired date and time you want to do the bike tour, we recommend making a reservation at least couple of days in advance (a week during the summer season). Don’t worry you can always cancel or postpone your tour if there is a change in plan.

2) We booked our bike tour but the forecast shows rain for that day. What should we do?

A) We are extremely flexible with all of our tours. If you have an availability to take the tour in another day, we will reschedule it, if not we will issue a 100% refund (yes FULL refund). Unlike the rest of the companies, we do not charge cancelation fees, services taxes or any other fees, as long as you inform us at least a 24hrs prior to the tour.

3) We have just completed our reservation and paid for the tour. Where are we going to start the tour from?

A) The bicycle tour will start from 58th street and Broadway (in front of Argo Tea Cafe). This is just one block south from Columbus Circle and the entrance of the park.

4) I know how to ride a bike but I haven’t been on one for so long. Do you think I will be able to do it?

A) No worries, there are plenty of down hills and just few up hills on the ride. Moreover, this is not a race but a relaxing and enjoyable way to see the park. There will also be multiple break stops during the tour.

5) I noticed, in the reservation form, that I have to provide a phone number. However, I’m not from the United States and I only have a foreign number. What should I do?

A) Not a problem, you can provide a foreign phone number. Just make sure that we can reach you on that number, on the day of the tour. Central Park Tours Inc. will bear the long-distance phone charges.

6) Where are we going to finish the tour? Can we finish at a different location?

A) All tours start and finish from the same spot (58th & Broadway). Unfortunately, we cannot finish the tour at a different location because you have to leave the bicycles at our premises.

7) We know that we will like the tour and we want to do some biking after the tour. How can we arrange that?

A) Visit our Bike Rental Central Park page to reserve your bikes and explore the park on your own. You can also talk with your tour guide after the tour and he will take care of you.

8) I just completed my reservation, should I print the confirmation and bring it with me on the day of the ride?

A) Our reservation system is completely integrated and we don’t require a print out of the confirmation. However, if you want to print it and bring it with you, please do so.

9) We are a big group and we are curious if you offer group discounts?

A) Absolutely! If you have a group of more than 10 people, please send us an e-mail at info@centralparktours.net and we will arrange it.

10) What kind of bicycles we will ride on the tour?

A) All of our bikes are well-maintained and they are in excellent condition. For the tour, you will be riding a KHS comfort series bike.
