Kim and Di Thunder are a husband and wife photographic team. Kim is an advertising and commercial photographer based in Hillcrest, Durban.

Kim Thunder shoots locally, nationally and internationally and has covered assignments in Mauritius, the U.K. and New York. His specialist advertising fields are food and lifestyle. Commercially he shoots assignments for most of South Africa's big corporates including SPAR, Unilever, Tiger Brands, SA and KZN tourism, Jeep, Dunhill, Beiersdorf-Nivea, MSC shipping, and Corobrik to name a few. He was commissioned to photograph Nelson Mandela and was recently commissioned to shoot all the European in-store lifestyle images for SPAR American cola.

Kim and Di both qualified in 1989 from Technikon Natal with photographic diplomas. They have traveled extensively shooting images for their online library, hosted by Africa Media Online. They aim to fill a gap in the SA market with regards to South African Lifestyle images. Their library also carries food and travel pix from Botswana to the Arctic circle including Turkey, Spain, France and Greece. Also on the site are wildlife and nature images, action and fitness, plus many more.

Kim was the first photographer in Durban to offer digital imagery, back in 1999, and he now almost shoots exclusively on that medium. All older images have been scanned in high resolution for the site
