Slopestyle | April 19 (Qualifiers) and April 20 (Finals)
Slopestyle is a hugely integrated and technically challenging discipline, featuring jumps, rails, and features to challenge and intimidate even the best skiers in the world. With slopestyle skiing now included in the Winter Olympic Games, expect to see slope royalty come out to play. The slopestyle for the WSI will be taking place in the Highest Level Park on Blackcomb. The line drops from above the gated entrance and uses the entire right side with a combo of huge jumps and mind-blowing features. The HL left jumps will be open to public throughout the week with the exception of April 19th and 20th when the Slopestyle event is on. On that day the left line will be open for spectators viewing the event and access will be via the top of the HL but no pass will be required.
Big Air | April 21
The Big Air jump, located at the base of Whistler Mountain, is the ultimate in ski-voyeurism. Not for the faint of heart, this jump will shock, amaze and intimidate, and that’s just the spectators! Immerse yourself in the electric atmosphere of Skier’s Plaza, and watch the mind-boggling aerial talents of the who’s who of the ski world throw down in one of the most impressive displays of raw talent and gutsy trick-wrangling in an attempt to walk away with the coveted title of Big Air Champion, a brand new Chevrolet Sonic courtesy of sponsor Chevrolet and endless bragging rights.
Superpipe | April 22
Competitors in the Olympic-sized Superpipe will aim high and throw-down in the most impressive display of on-mountain athleticism. Combining passion, prowess, positivity and pure attitude, the Superpipe lays it on the line for committed and confident skiers to take home a huge prize purse and priceless bragging rights. - Located at Blackcomb Pipe
