NERAX 2012 Thursday

Thursday evening we welcomed more cask lovers to our new hall at the Somerville American Legion Hall Post 388 with 58 beers, ciders, and mead. 30 were from the U.S. and 28 from the U.K. The list included the five beers from Day of the Living Nanos. Also the Reaper made his first appearance, taking down Mallinson's Galaxy from the board.

We look forward to seeing you tonight!

Ticket sales for NERAX are closed

As NERAX has begun, advanced ticket sales are now closed. We still have plenty of tickets available at the door for all sessions, including Day of the Living Nanos. We hope to see you soon at the Somerville American Legion Hall Post 388, from Wednesday April 11 to Saturday April 14!

If you have any questions, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

No physical tickets will be issued. If you purchased advanced admission, please come to the Will Call line. Your name and the number of tickets you purchased will be on the list. All you need is your ID.

Bear in mind that the wide array of American and British beers we acquire allows us to add new beers to every session, providing an interesting selection of real ales, ciders, and mead  throughout the festival. This year we have over 100 casks altogether waiting for you. Come on in to NERAX!

Fresh Cask Ale

Cask-conditioned beer, like all living things, is a fleeting phenomenon. Firkins are emptied and new ones brought in all the time. That makes it a challenge to keep up with what cask ales can be found in New England. With that in mind, here's what we've heard about recently tapped real ale. If you would like to share news about a cask, please mention @NERAX on Twitter, visit the NERAX Facebook Page, or send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

See also our maps of Cask in Boston and Cask in New England, which will give a more general idea of where cask is likely to be found.

Cheers!

About CASC

CASC (the Cask-conditioned Ale Support Campaign) was formed in the spring of 1997 to promote real ale festivals in the Boston area. It was established to promote and educate brewers, publicans, and the public about the brewing, distribution, and pleasures of real ale. We are dedicated to the sensible enjoyment of top-fermented, traditionally brewed ales that undergo a secondary fermentation in the vessel from which they are served. CASC is a group of like-minded individuals who seek to expand the awareness of producers, distributors, and consumers about the use of traditional ingredients in, and dispensing of, real ales.
