New Funtier

Located just upriver from the Schoolroom, the New Funtier is an interesting place to walk through let alone climb. It makes for an interesting canyon adventure when the river is frozen. A five to ten minute walk along the ice park trail will lead you to signs designating the New Funtier area. From here you can either descend into the canyon or set up anchors for your route first. The majority of the climbs here are moderate, so accidentallydropping in on grade five ice is not likely to happen. The canyon is somewhat narrow here and around each bend it seems lies another hidden moderate climb.
