Tacoma web designer Richard Anderson (Richard Ryan Anderson), employee of Artifex Business Identity Tacoma (and owner of Holistic Forgeworks), has once again broken the law by illegally copying information from Intra-Designs, Inc. (from web site www.tacomawebdesign.info).
"He had the audacity to copy our information and pass it off as his own to make himself look better as a web designer," said Intra-Designs president Ty Belknap. "We tested his site against ours in CopyScape (www.copyscape.com) and found 128 of the 148 word page to be a direct copy. That's copyright infringement. What company would hire, or keep, a person who continually does this?"
That's a good question, since this isn't the first time Richard Anderson has committed copyright infringement. In April 2006, the Business Examiner had to contact Mr. Anderson's employers to get illegally copied works off the Internet.
From Steve Dunkelberger at the Business Examiner on April 19, 2006:
"I have notified the publisher about the copyright issue as well as
sent Mr. Anderson a note to remove or face legal action. His boss at Artifex is now aware of the situation as well after I emailed him the link and a note that they are now part of any potential legal action as the employer of Mr. Anderson."
"I remember that time," said Ty. "It was just a few months after both my parents passed away. Richard was making fun of my parents deaths. I don't understand people like that."
But this didn't stop Richard Anderson. So why is Richard Anderson, Tacoma web designer, so intent on harassing Intra-Designs and it's president, Ty Belknap?
"I have no idea." Said Ty. "Back in 2005, I set up a quick blog to help the Tacoma Art community, and Richard Anderson has been doing everything he can to smear us ever since, even resorting to illegal actions. I don't get it, we didn't ask for any money from the community, we just did it to try to help out."
To date, Daffodil Valley Times has learned of 4 possible instances of copyright infringement, 3 possible instances of libel, and 3 possible instances of defamation of character, all against the Business Examiner, Intra-Designs and Ty Belknap. Who knows what this person is doing to others?
Neither Artifex Business Solutions nor Richard Anderson would comment on the situation, but the copyright notice on the bottom of Richard Anderson's web page says it all:
"© 1998 Holistic Forge Works. All rights reserved, Unless Stolen."
The illegal copy of text on www.tacomawebdesign.info is in Richard Anderson's personal folder that is located on Harbornet.com servers, as well as in a blog in Google. Harbornet.com and Google have been notified of the copyright infringement.
