Dr Carl Hunt

Dr. Carl Hunt is the Chief Scientist for Pioneer Cyberspace Strategies, Lewes, DE.  He is the founding partner and Lead Scientist for the Science Enhanced Network Domains and Secure Social Spaces initiative (SENDS), co-sponsored by multiple US Government agencies.  Dr. Hunt was also the editor and co-author of the US Strategic Command-sponsored study on Deterring Violent Non-State Actors in Cyberspace.

Dr. Hunt served 30 years in the Army both as a military policeman and as an information systems technology officer.  His assignments included service as the J-9, Director of Technology and Analysis for the United States Strategic Command’s Joint Task Force – Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO), and as the commander of the US Army Criminal Investigation Command’s Computer Crime Investigative Unit.

Dr. Hunt holds the Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University and is a graduate of the United States National War College.  Dr. Hunt is a member of the Distinguished Review Board of the United States Air Force Institute of Technology’s Center for Cyberspace Research, the Board of Advisors for the Science Center of Pinellas County, FL, and is an Affiliate Member of the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, George Mason University.  Dr. Hunt has published numerous papers and articles about information operations, network security and advanced modeling and simulation, and is the primary author of the SENDS Science of Cyberspace Weblog. He also publishes as “The Blogging Luddite.”

Mr. Craig Harm

Mr. Craig Harm, Colonel, USAF (ret.) has over 25 years in Intelligence, Operational Test and Evaluation,  Planning, Information Warfare and Electronic Warfare.  He has experience at the Combatant Command, Major Command, Numbered Air Force, Wing and Unit Level.  His service at United States Strategic Command includes tours as Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans Division Chief, Policy and Doctrine Deputy Division Chief and the IO/Cyber Policy Branch Chief.  As the Vice Commander of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Mr. Harm was responsible for the Air Force Center of Excellence for all-source foreign air and space intelligence, providing a broad range of integrated, tailored assessments and products and services to Air Force and Joint operational forces, national policymakers, and the acquisition community.  Additionally he served as Air Combat Command’s Chief of Non-Lethal SEAD requirements, developing EW and IO requirements for the Air Force. An OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM veteran, his flying experience includes the operational and flight test tours in the EF-111 and EC-130H Compass Call.

An active member of the Association of Old Crows and the National Military Intelligence Association, Mr. Harm holds degrees from The Naval War College, Air University, Boston University and Iowa State University.

Mr. Bob Schapiro

Is an Emmy Award winner for his work directing On The Frontlines: Doing Business in China.

Beginning in the late 1970s, Mr. Schapiro reported on-camera from El Salvador, Nicaragua and Lebanon and covered the federal courts for CNN.

He then moved behind the camera, where he broke many national stories. His efforts identified the key witness leading to John Gotti’s indictment (Schapiro was subpoenaed at Gotti’s trial); the Howie Spira interview which led to the suspension on NY Yankee owner George Steinbrenner’s; the first video of Israel’s 1985 airlift of Ethiopian Jews and the discovery and re-emergence of missing 1950s cult starlet Bettie Page.

Schapiro produced both national and local newscasts, including Live At Five at New York’s WNBC and several WCBS-TV programs. He was the writer and associate producer of The Wall Street Journal Report when it originated on INN. He served as science & technology producer for the INN network. He also contributed humor and technology spots to WCBS-TV’s Two On The Town.

His documentary credits include Pirates of New York, an undercover investigation of black markets, and Geisha, Keisha and American Pie, done in cooperation with Japanese journalists and shown in Japan.

Bob Schapiro also writes investigative pieces for such magazines as Playboy and wrote vignettes for the off-Broadway revue, Style Without Substance. He has served part-time on the faculty of New York University, where he received his MA.

Mr. Schapiro serves on the faculty of several universities including the  Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China and Montclair State College, Graduate Dept. of Communication Studies.
