ATTENTION ALL BROOKLINE RESIDENTS!!!

On Tuesday April 10th from 6-7:30 PM, we will be meeting in the Extension Gallery on the 2nd floor of Orchard to have a discussion and workshop about a potential skatepark at Devotion.

This meeting is open to ALL BROOKLINE RESIDENTS! This includes skaters, parents, teachers, and anyone from the town that has an interest in future skateparks!

Brookline Skatepark Design Focus Group Meeting

ATTENTION ALL BROOKLINE RESIDENTS!!!

Over the past year, we have been working with the Brookline Parks & Rec Department along with the Architects For Humanity to develop a system of skatespots and skateparks in Brookline.

Last year we held the first focus group meeting to get input from the town's skate community to let us know exactly you want to skate.

That feedback has helped us create the first renderings of some potential skatepark designs, and now we need your help again to draw up some plans for a potential skatepark at the Devotion School!

On Tuesday April 10th from 6-7:30 PM, we will be meeting in the Extension Gallery on the 2nd floor of Orchard to have a discussion and workshop about a potential skatepark at Devotion.

There has been quite a bit of Orchard related videos and photos floating around the past couple of weeks. Here's a brief recap of what the team has been up to and what has been going on around the shop lately.

Fritz Mead has been on a tear lately! Along with a 2 page spread in the SOTY issue of Thrasher, the cover of Skate Jawn, and a handful of other photos, Frtiz had an Independent Trucks "Raw Ams" video part posted on Strange Notes, NHS distribution's media center.

Bro Gumps and Lee Berman took an afternoon trip to Worcester to visit Mike Leslie and came back with this clip from a private bowl that Mike helps maintain.

Rob Hall is one of our newest employees at the shop, and co-worker Michael Chew put together a clip of Rob skating the ramp one night after work.

Chew also put together a clip recapping the Plan B & Element autograph signing and Mike Kershnar art show. More photos of the opening reception can be seen on our Facebook Fan Page.

Art Show & Pro Signing

Plan B and Element Skateboards have teamed up to put on a double header event at the shop on Friday February 24!

From 6:00 - 7:30PM professional skateboarders PJ Ladd, Levi Brown, and Donny Barley will be at the shop signing autographs. This portion of the event is open to all ages!

From 9:00 - 11:00PM there will be a 21+ opening reception in the gallery featuring new works by San Francisco's Mike Kershnar. Check www.mikekershnar.com for a glimpse of his work.
Pabst Blue Ribbon will provide complimentary adult refreshments.

First February Footwear Shipment

The first shipments of spring footwear has began to arrive. This week we have choice selections from Huf, DC, Nike SB, and Vans for Men, Women, and Kids!

Huf X Haroshi X Deluxe

Huf teamed up with Deluxe and Japanese artist Haroshi to release this special release offered at only 15 shops worldwide.
Along with a limited Hufnagel Pro model shoe, the collection includes 3 tee shirts 1 raglan tee available in a variety of colors, as well as a hooded sweatshirt, 5 panel hat, and 2 snapback hats.
All of the physical artwork that ties in with all of the gear is absolutely mindblowing and can be seen on the Huf site.

Grayscale Video Premiere & Nature's Helmet Art Exhibit Opening

We've lined up a weekend full of events to remedy Cabin Fever from settling in!

On Friday January 27 we will be hosting an ALL AGES premiere of "Grayscale", a new independent video produced by longtime friend Cuong Ngo. Over two years in the making, the video features Orchard team rider Eric Dasaro along with a crew of some of the rippingest dudes in New England, and is sure to be a quality production.

The premiere will take place at 7PM at Wonderbar, 186 Harvard Ave. Allston.

Saturday is the opening reception for the "Nature's Helmet" art exhibit in the Extension Gallery on the second level of the shop. Curated by Adam Adelson of AA Exhibitions, the show features a range of artist's individual reflections on the human skull. More info can be found at natures-helmet.tumblr.com/

The 21+ reception will be held Saturday from 8-11PM, and refreshments will be provided by Refuge Cafe and Pabst Blue Ribbon.
