Hello everyone,

As has been promised for a while, we're planning some upgrades to the board which will give us some more up to date features, better moderation tools etc. In the next few weeks we should have a brand new message board in time for the new single, tour and album.

However, when the new board goes live we will require all current users to reset their passwords. In order to do this, we will need to have a valid email address for you in our database so your password can be sent to you.

After your password has been reset, you can change it back to your current one, or anything else you like. You will not be able to post from your account without doing this.

Therefore, if you want to retain access to your account and all your posts etc, you should check your profile RIGHT NOW and make sure that the email address that's in there is still valid. Otherwise when the board changes, you will lose all access to your current posts.

Edit Forgot to mention, we'll also be deleting a bunch of old accounts with zero posts on them, so if you're a lurker who wants to retain your account, now's an excellent time to introduce yourself!

Last time the forum did a change like this I had to register a new username.  I hope this will not be necessary again?

Will we have to logout on this messageboard before we attempt to login on the new one?

You won't, if you have a valid emailadress - nothing to do with the amount of posts (unless it's zero).

Yes pleased to hear the news of an upgrade to reflect CREDO.

I definitely want to stick around and be part of it so I'll be watching closely and logging on as much as I can as developments unfold!

Just to clarify, your username, account and posts will all remain intact on the new site; it's just that in order to be able to use them you'll have to reset your password which will be sent to the email address associated with your account.. Once your password's been reset, you can change it back to what it used to be, or anything else you like.



(For those interested in the nerdy details, the reason for this is that we're moving from PunBB to PhpBB3, which use different encryption methods for passwords. This is why the password will need to be reset the first time you log into the new board - your old one won't work because it's encrypted in a way that PhpBB3 won't be able to understand.)

A bit of both really... It's on the to-do list, but equally I'm aware of messing around with things too much when everything's so busy and exciting in League-land!

How about at least refreshing the banner at the top there then? Surely that'd be a quick easy update. There's sure to be a big upsurge in visitors at the end of the month, so it'd be nice to have some kind of acknowledgement of the new League up there.

I'm a day late and a dollar short on all this.  Ga.
