OPTATEC 2012: The Future of Optical Technologies Clearly in Focus
The 11th OPTATEC international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems will present expert visitors with the worlds most important information, communication and business platform for the industry at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from the 22nd through the 25th of May, 2012. The world-class supplementary programme is dedicated to, amongst other things, the issue of Green Photonics and the DIN ISO 10110 series of standards. With its biennial schedule, OPTATEC focuses on the industry’s innovation potential like no other event of its kind. Together with conceptual sponsors, as well as technology and institutional partners including the SPECTARIS German Industry Association for Photonics and Precision Engineering and the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF, expert visitors from all over the world will be presented with a product, information, communication and business platform of international format. OPTATEC 2012 will pick up where it left off with the highly convincing results of its tenth edition in 2010, at which 530 exhibitors from 31 countries presented their offerings at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre. The focus of the consistently target-group oriented portfolio includes the fields of fibre-optics, photovoltaics, LED solutions, safety systems, production technology and medical engineering.
World-Class Future Technology and an Exceptional Supplementary Programme
The growing significance of optical technologies is also making itself apparent in issues involving energy and material efficiency, as well as basic questions concerning the efficient use of resources and environmental protection, where optical technologies offer practical and affordable solutions. It is the goal of the industry sector to lastingly boost global acceptance of optical technologies.
This goal also serves as a basis for the outstanding supplementary programme at the 11th OPTATEC Topics include the “Green Photonics Forum” initiative of the Fraunhofer IOF and the DIN ISO 10110 series of standards for the creation of drawings for optical elements and systems, to which a workshop held by the SPECTARIS industry association will be dedicated. Clearly identified as the “Medical Technology Network”, companies with a medical engineering emphasis will present their offerings to interested expert visitors at OPTATEC 2012. Not least of all, the accompanying exhibitor forum will once again provide visitors in-depth insights into new products and technologies free of charge. Roughly 30 practically oriented technical presentations will be open to the visitors. The CEO-Round-Table, which has already become a tradition in the meantime, is also presented as an integral part of the exhibitor forum. SPECTARIS will promote its analysts’ conference concurrent to OPTATEC as well.
The pragmatic mix of product and technical information in theory and actual practice, as well as unique coverage of the entire process sequence including hardware and software, will once again be the recognised trademark for OPTATEC in 2012
