Racegoers - have they had their rewards?

The Jockey Club's Rewards4Racing, the UK's first ever loyalty programme dedicated to fans of the turf, today launched a 'Milestone Bonus' scheme to reward members with prestige experiences that will make going to the races extra special.

The Jockey Club's rewards programme has broken the 75,000 member-mark less than six months since its inception. This unprecedented popularity means the initiative is ahead of schedule to attract 125,000 members in its first year.

To coincide with this milestone, Rewards4Racing is offering its members the opportunity to win a redemption package worth 75,000 points, simply for making a purchase with a participating retailer through the loyalty programme between Wednesday 13 July and midnight on Tuesday 19 July 2011. All members making purchases will be entered into a random draw.

The 75,000 point winning package offers:

  • Chauffeur driven new Jaguar to and from home to a Jockey Club Racecourses track
  • Welcome and hosting by a Rewards4Racing team member for the day
  • Introduction to the racecourse manager
  • Free meal for 4 at the racecourse restaurant, with wine
  • Sponsorship, including naming, of a suitable race
  • Choosing and presenting the award for Best Turned Out racehorse in sponsored race
  • Presenting the winning connections with their trophies following the sponsored race
  • Champagne celebration with the winning connections following the sponsored race
  • Gift of the race video and a framed picture from the prize-giving

Every future milestone will see an equivalent points bonus of increasing value gifted to a Rewards4Racing member who makes a purchase at a participating retailer within the six day timeframe. Future milestones will be when Rewards4Racing reaches 100,000, 150,000, 200,000 and 250,000 members, as well as a special '2012 fever' bonus next summer.

Paul Fisher, Group Managing Director of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: "Rewards4Racing has been a great success since its launch. Every day we are welcoming more members and gifting them more points for their everyday spending. This Milestone Bonus scheme is all about offering even more to give our customers a truly unforgettable experience.

"Last month we ran a Rewards4Racing promotion where Rewards4Racing points were worth double and we saw a 200% jump in redemptions. This resulted in more than £10,000 of additional ticket sales in seven days.

"Our most popular redemption items to date have been ticket vouchers, closely followed by racecards. It's also proving a great way to maintain a regular interaction with customers of Jockey Club Racecourses and all Rewards4Racing members will receive an email letting them know about our Milestone Bonus scheme."

Josh Apiafi, Founder of Rewards4Racing Ltd, said: "We're massively excited about launching the Milestone Bonus series, which one of our members can win simply by shopping at any of our 350+ retail partners within the next six days.

"The prize really will give the lucky winners a once-in-a-lifetime raceday. We'll be releasing our membership numbers on a regular basis, including through our Twitter feed, so our members can eagerly await the next Milestone Bonus. Watch this space!"

"Anyone who purchases a ticket for any meeting at one of The Jockey Club's 14 racecourses (including annual memberships) can join Rewards4Racing for free. Visit www.Rewards4Racing.com for more information.
