Trashion Earrings ‘ProfondoRosso WidowsLace’
Using cutaway sections of salvaged pleather printed with a rosy red texture from the extensive texture library I have photographed from city streets across the world, and complemented with shreds Mediterranean widow’s lace.

Trashion Earrings ‘WitchsWolves’
Using cutaway sections of Eugène Grasset’s – ‘Trois femmes et trois loups’ (ca 1900) printed on reclaimed vinyl sheeting, this austere image of a lupine staring outwards from behind surrealist orange trees in a walpurgisnacht scene, gives a new slant to the supplication “Now I Wanna Be Your Dog”. Brooklyn Observatory Holiday Bazaar

December 18th, 2011

This weekend (December 17-18) I’ve been vending at the Brooklyn Observatory holiday bazaar with several other designers and artisans selling somewhat morbid curios. I’ve met a lot of great artists and seen som fantastic creations. It’s really good to be back in the trunkshow environment, selling directly to people and next to fellow artists. Currently playing on the soundsystem, The Cure’s ‘Man Inside My Mouth’, drinking free beer from Brooklyn Brewery.
All postcards and Phoenix Feathers sold out. I’ve begun using a violin case reclaimed from the trash as a display case. I’m refurbishing it step by step into a custom case using all my own materials.
