Hi Guys, I’m Allyn and this is my blog. Really, however, it’s your blog because everything I publish here is for those of you looking to have a nice lawn organically. It ain’t difficult either! You have have a beautiful, dark green patch of green love and have it naturally!
So let’s talk about me a little now ok?
I have been working on lawns since I was 16 years old. I grew up in Florida where I mowed lawns as a way to earn enough money to take my girlfriend to the movies. It was hot down there, but $10 for 45 minutes of work was s pretty good deal.
My Grandfather was also “in the biz” and owned a tree spraying business in Florida. I guess that’s where I get my green thumb.
More recently (like the last 15 years) I have been working in Chicago and NW Indiana running a $6 million lawn care business. I’ve learned everything there is to know about lawn fertilization, weed control, fungus control, insect control, etc etc… you name it, and I can either grow it or kill it using the right products.
I hafta admit, however, that over the last 4 or 5 years or so I have become more and more convinced that organics are better. That is what this site is about. I am not an activist, or outspoken “anti chemical” tree hugger. I am, however, a realist who has come to find that organically treated lawns look better, stay healthy longer and in the long run, are better for the environment.
Treating your lawn organically is also MUCH EASIER for homeowners to manage. In other words, you don’t have to be a lawn pro to have a beautiful organic lawn.
