Randy Ritzenthaler, Owner became a certified journeyman through the NECA/IBEW Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and worked as a residential electrician for 3 years, then continued on to commercial electrical and industrial electrical work for the next 11 years of his career before moving to Texas in 2003.

Randy has experience in the following, including but not limited to:

* New construction - residential, single and multi family

* Residential remodeling including service upgrades and knowledge of wiring methods of the past

* Commercial & industrial wiring consisting of conduit bending from ½" thin wall to 4" rigid

* Installation and maintenance of switchgear from 600v to 13,200v

* Back up power generation, motor control centers, transformer installation & testing, fire alarm installation, trouble shooting, and non destructive testing

* Also experienced in structured cabling, phone, cat 5 & 6, and fiber optic installations  

Though Randy's passion continues to be designing and building beautiful art from wood, he wanted to offer his clients more direct service on all their remodel or building needs while keeping the number of subcontractors on a job to a minimum. Our clients value having fewer subcontractors in their home or on the job.

Randy Ritzenthaler, Owner, has 18 years of hands on construction experience. He personally has worked in framing, masonry, as a commercial electrician, and has built residential homes from the ground up. But his passion is creating art from wood. He has built this company on a reputation of quality craftsmanship, while also offering guidance outside the scope of carpentry to his clients.

Randy Ritzenthaler, owner of R Squared Renovations, moved to Dallas, TX in 2002 from Toledo, OH. While in Toledo, he worked as a commercial journeyman electrician for 12 years. Although he enjoyed his years as an electrician, he was unable to let his creative side develop. Moving to Dallas proved to be a tremendous opportunity to do something he had great passion for - working with wood. Randy has worked with wood since he was a child, and is a self taught craftsman. Carpenters that have more experience turn to Randy for advice. He brings a unique perspective to the design and fabrication of his art work.
