Elephant eaten by lions

Its not often that lions will kill an elephant. This pride of lions had successfully killed a young elephant at a water hole. Given the condition of the lions it was evident that it was not an easy meal. The lions will feed for a number of days. By instinct the buffalo on the distant side of the water hole know that they are safe for now.
