About Andrea

I am a Certified Health & Nutrition Counselor accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I work with my clients to help them reach their ideal weight, increase their energy, reduce stress, and feel confident about what to eat. It is my mission to empower and inspire my clients to create extraordinary lives for themselves by teaching them to build their own intuition about nutrition.

My Personal Battle:

I used to be 45 lbs heavier, obsessed with food, stagnant in my career and relationships, and moody a great deal of the time. Even though life was technically “good,” I still didn’t feel personally fulfilled or very inspired. Although I had various fun and exciting jobs in media throughout the years (advertising, food & travel writer for Time Out New York Magazine, associate producer at Dateline NBC), I realized that lifestyle had left me worn out, cranky, and hungry for a career, way of living, and way of eating that would feed my mind, body, and spirit!

Why I Became a Health Counselor:

Through years of doing my own self-work and self-discovery, in addition to getting my degree as a Certified Health Counselor from Columbia University’s Teachers College and The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, I lost many pounds and discovered a way of eating that left me vibrant, satiated, and happy! These days, I love helping my clients reach their ideal weight, find balance in their lives, and feel confident about what to eat. And I get results.

I work with individual clients, run group holistic health programs, and present lectures on various health and wellness topics throughout New York.

I have been profiled in Honey Magazine, and I am a contributing writer for Yahoo! Green and ecomii.com, two websites devoted to giving you comprehensive guides to greener, cleaner living.

I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn, with my husband, Matt, and 3 nutty cats – Monty, Mabel, and Jalapeno! When I’m not counseling clients, I love to travel, dine out, go to the movies, and linger in one of New York’s great cafes with a good book.

I counsel clients in person and over the phone. I offer a 45-minute consultation for people who want to learn more about my program. We will discuss your unique situation in depth and determine how I can help you reach your personal goals. Please visit my website for additional information, or call (917) 450-4642.
