Getting Publicity for Your CPCUG Event

Six weeks in advance of your meeting or event, or as early as possible, please send via e-mail to the Director of Corporate Communications, Monitor Editor, and the Director of Public Relations the following information:

        o  Presentation description--2 paragraphs
        o  Speaker biographical information--1 paragraph
        o  Speaker company or organization--1 paragraph
        o  Any door prize(s) and/or giveaway(s)--listing
        o  Speaker contact information--address, telephone numbers, e-mail address, and URL

If you have some of this information earlier, that's even better. Send it as you receive it.

Please be sure to read the descriptions of the presentations and other informational materials you receive from your speakers/panelists before sending them to us. Make sure the descriptions are what you expected. Many speakers have several presentations, and mixups occur. If you suspect something is awry, please contact the speaker directly.

If your event is to be held at a public library, or certain other venues, make sure the speaker is aware that the policy of those meeting venues does not allow product sales.

Door prizes help to boost attendance. If you arrange to have door prizes for your meeting, please let us know the details as early as possible so that your valuable door prize information is included in the publicity for the meeting.

Do you already have a CPCUG event flyer? If so, convert the flyer file to PDF format and send as an e-mail attachment to the Director of Corporate Communications for posting in the CPCUG flyer archive on the Web.
