NEWS!!! Feb-9-2012 - Busy day for the ToneBlazers...we want to thank WCYB-TV for having us on their lunchtime broadcast and also thanks to Tim White for inviting us over to his house for an interview for Tim's bluegrass radio show. The folks at the Pickin' Porch were a great crowd as usual. Looking forward to going back another time.

ToneBlazers are based in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Their repertoire is an Americana mix of their own original material. The ToneBlazer's 2011 performances include Merlefest, Riverhawk Music Festival, Songs of the Mountain (PBS series), King Pup Syndicated Radio, Red White and Bluegrass Festival, Albino Skunk Festival, Plum Hollow Festival, Chomp & Stomp Festival, and winning the Charlotte Music Awards in Americana/Bluegrass category. Their debut album, Red Clay Roots, was released in 2011 on Little King Records and their second release is due out April, 2012. Individually throughout their careers, they have shared the stage or studio with Doc Watson, Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, George Shuffler, Marty Raybon, Alison Kraus, Mark OConnor, Doug Jernigan, Wayne Henderson, Roy Huskey Jr., Charlie Waller, Jack Lawrence and Tony Rice, to name a few. Band Review: Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the Toneblazers concert at The White Horse in Black Mountain last night. Loved the diversity of the setlist and the relaxed stage presence...and of course the masterful pickin' and singin'. Especially like Reuben and Copperhead Road, that kicked things up to a "whole nother level". Looking forward to hearing y'all again soon.
