Baselworld 2012 with more than 100.000 visitors
The 40th Baselworld fair ended yesterday with an increase in visitor numbers of just under one per cent. A total of 143,300 trade visitors, including more representatives of the media than ever before, explored the latest developments in the jewelry and watch business at the leading international trade fair for the industry. According to the organisers and Francois Thiébaud, president of the Swiss exhibitor committee, the trade fair was a highly positive one for the 1800 exhibitors. In spite of the worldwide atmosphere of crisis confidence within the industry is high, which was confirmed by the many new products which were presented.
Among exhibitors at Baselworld 2012 one major topic was the 41st Baselworld fair next year, because the fair management has already begun the planning and allocation of stand sites. After extensive conversion work and new building the trade fair will be held on a restructured site in 2013, when Baselword will not begin until 25.04.2013 – in other words around six weeks later than this year.
