Aeroplane
You fly with Aeroplane once, you don’t forget it. In just three years, the Italian-Belgian producer has established himself as party-starting DJ, remixer du jour -with his spacious cosmic-disco re-rerubs of Grace Jones (William’s Blood), Friendly Fires (Paris) and Sebastien Tellier (Kilometer)- and, via his own piano-sprinkled melancholic beauties like Caramellas, leaders of the nu-disco and Balearica scene.
Aeroplane is a one-man operation. Flying solo has given Vito the chance to flex his classically trained musical muscles: “Aeroplane has been put in the dance music category but I’m a songwriter, that’s what I know how to do. I wanted to go back to proper pop music, not being forced to do nine-minute tracks so the DJ can mix in before and after.” Aeroplane has never been at the mercy of traditional bpms, and being free of “the dance floor pressure” has given Vito additional license to slow things down and look around. “I’m at my best at 105bpm,” he says. “That’s the speed where I make the best music. You can do more, there’s more groove, more feeling.”
Laying gospel harmonies over Compass Point-era Grace Jones reggae, blissed-out Rimini keyboards and kiddie vocal samples, it’s handsome proof that dance-ability and musicality don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

Stephan Jacobs
Stephan Jacobs is one of the most exciting multi-genre producers in southern California today. Drawing from a powerful collection of original material and heavyweight remixes, this passionate young producer slings out stimulating sets of uptempo dubstep, twisted glitch hop and straight-up West Coast crunk.
Stephan Jacobs has a knack for inciting crowds with his eclectic music, whether he is performing at major music festivals like Coachella, dark underground events in LA or the hottest club in Hollywood. With over five years of experience making music and ten years playing out from Vancouver to Tel Aviv, Jacobs has honed his skills and style and now stands poised to bring new waves of brain-smashing beats to the hungry masses.
A prolific producer who cannot stop creating, Jacobs is also half of Kether, the highly regarded live electronics duo with a firmly established spot at the forefront of West Coast sound. Stepping out on his own and further down the path of dance floor-pleasing crunk, he continues to tear down the house and rock audiences to their knees.
Jacobs never lets an opportunity to share his sound slip by, and has earned a name in underground circles as one of the most talented bass music producers today. His innovative sets sneak up on crowds and shove them into dance euphoria with their provocative basslines, juicy melodies and mesmerizing female vocals. Devoted to music and to killing the crowd, Stephan Jacobs is an instigator who is on his way up.

Russ Liquid
Set apart from other up-and-coming West Coast bass music producers by his extensive world-touring history and performance experience, Russ Liquid brings a much-needed injection of melody and emotion to the thriving dance floor community.
Classically trained on the piano, trumpet, saxophone and flute, Russ Liquid spent his early 20’s touring the Caribbean and South America as part of a jazz quintet, playing resorts, cruise ships and dance clubs. Once the young composer was introduced to electronic music, his course in life was forever altered, and he soon discovered a new home in the international electronic music community.
Hand-crafting sexy sounds by blending elements of many genres together, Russ Liquid applies the colorful tones of instrumental music to the realm of the beats with dance floor-rocking results. This talented producer has found an entirely new palette to “paint” with, and now he seeks to bridge the gap between classical and modern music with new electronic technology and sonic possibilities.
Ample chord changes, foreign sounds and grimy drums on a thick layer of bass give Russ Liquid’s music a symphonic quality that hooks the brain with its unique twists and turns. A Portland native who has recently transplanted himself to Oakland, Russ Liquid has found success in the past half-decade performing throughout the United States and Canada with groups such as March Fourth Marching Band and Satori Social (Bluetech’s live band). Now this eager artist and performer has stepped out onto his own, bringing a refreshingly melodic approach to the bass music movement.

Pato Banton & The Now Generation LIVE
Doors 8pm / Show 9pm-1am / Admission $10 / 18+
A Pato Banton concert is an event not to be missed and an experience not to be forgotten.
Positive Vibrations abound with a beat to keep you on your dancing feet, while Pato delivers a message that is food for the mind and soul. Many have considered his charismatic performance as live theatre where no show is alike and audience members become participants in the experience. Pato dialogues with the crowd on a range of topics including current day events and spiritual freedom while keeping the vibes upbeat and fun! The direction of the concert is totally based on the feedback Pato receives from the audience as there is no fixed set list. Many have said that the positivity
generated from the stage has changed their lives forever. Sometimes Pato invites his fans to join him in a prayer circle after the show, where some have cried while sharing their stories of contemplated suicide, isolation after losing a loved one, struggles with substance abuse and how their personal connection with Pato has given them the strength to “Stay Positive” & “Never Give In.”
The following Pato Banton story charts his rise from the most disadvantaged of circumstances in his youth, through a long and successful career as a world renowned reggae legend, back to his roots with a commitment to work for the benefit of young people in his community, and finally on a mission to spread the “Good News” & “Positive Vibrations” to the “Now Generation”.

Experimental Punk Jazz Trio
Dead Kenny G’s featuring Skerik, Mike Dillon & Brad Houser

DKG’s website
If the moniker for the combustible punk jazz trio The Dead Kenny G’s doesn’t say it all at first glance, one listen to their new album Operation Long Leash quickly puts it all in focus. Saxophonist Skerik, bassist Brad Houser and drummer/percussionist Mike Dillon are committed to musical subversion of the highest order. Precisely shifting gears between a muso obsession of musical styles and sonic colors, The Dead Kenny Gs have both the courage and the chops to realize their wildest aural visions. At one moment they’ll draw inspiration from punk legends The Minutemen, the next finds them embracing the spirit of jazz giant Rahsaan Roland Kirk and yet still another twist finds the pull of indie rock progenitors Deerhoof; yet all the while sounding purely DKGs. To further that extent, it’s not just music informing the trio’s voice, but a keen understanding of political conspiracy in American history. The album’s title, Operation Long Leash, comes from the clandestine CIA operation in the late ‘40s to fund Abstract Expressionism as a means for Western culture to undermine the rigid, confined and conformist ideals of the Soviet Union during the early years of the Cold War.
“The Dead Kenny Gs pinball between styles: Afro-pop, Balkan, Klezmer and pocket funk lashed to Middle Eastern modality.”
– New York Times
“The Dead Kenny Gs range from uptempo saxy jaunts to mellow vibed-out jams to distorted, disgruntled bursts of sound (that still groove).”
– Done Waiting
