1st meeting a HUGE success…
June 21st, 2006for the 3 of us that attended.
Even with the limited participation, the first meeting of RefreshDayton went fairly well. Josh of SteelPixel and the Web 2.0 Show was there, as well as Kara of InfoGirl.
Basically a meet and greet, our first meeting wasn’t necessarily ‘refresh’ oriented, but more of a who we are and what we do kind of thing. Topics ranged from favorite tools, to favorite RSS feeds to fixed versus fluid.
We also talked about how to get the word out about Refresh Dayton and tossed around a few ideas. If you have a suggestion, we’d love to hear it.
Thanks again to ALL who came to the meeting. Our next meeting is tentatively planned for early August.

Our 1st Meeting
May 16th, 2006You heard it hear first, we have scheduled our first meeting!
When?
Wednesday June 21st, 2006, 7p.m.
Where?
Dorothy Lane Market’s Community Room (2nd Floor)
740 N Main St
Springboro, OH 45066
Who?
Our first meting has no planned speakers but Josh Owens of Web 2.0 Show podcast fame will be attending and will be available for questions. We will be chatting about topics that interest us and discuss how we want to proceed in the future.
There is a Buffalo Wild Wings right next store so we (maybe just me) can go drown our(my) sorrows if the meeting is a flop ;) OR, celebrate our successful first meeting afterwards.
Why?
Because its about time we started meeting, thats why.
What Else?
We’ll put out more news and info as it becomes available. If you are interested in attending, have some ideas, want to speak or have questions, you can email me at goingto(at)refreshdayton.org.

where to from here…?
February 22nd, 2006- a subject matter expert directory for topics like;
- standards
- css
- web 2.0
- ajax
- hf and ucd
- etc…
- a recommended reading list grouped by topic
- a discussion forum - I thought this blog could serve that purpose but some of the other refresh groups have started their own google group for that purpose. I also considered a forum ‘app’ for our site but i’d need a little php help for that one.
- what else?
The possibilites are endless but I need input from you.
Lets start thinking on it and post your thoughts here!
Thanks,
Mike
