Giant Fire Breathing Robot is your source for geeks, games, and gamma rays. What does that mean? It means this is the place to go if you want to read opinions on what’s going on in the world of board games, video games, anime, role-playing games, nerdy movies, and all the other hobbies that come with the currently chic name of “geek”. We’re the ones to turn to when you would seek the opinion of a trusted friend. A trusted friend who breathes fire, but still…
Mostly, we’re here because we’re interested in the same things you are. We know what we like, and we know what we don’t like. When we spend our time on something we wind up not liking, we feel cheated. And if something isn’t worth our time, it’s not worth your time to read about it. As a result, you’ll probably realize as you go through our site that we tend to only do positive reviews. That’s not because we love everything, we just don’t want to waste your time. Isn’t that nice of us?

Submissions:
Want to join the chaos and write for the Robot? Here’s the skinny. We don’t pay or get paid for writing on this site. At this point, we do it just for the love of doing it. That said, if you’re one of our contributors and want to try to get press passes or review copies, we’d be behind you 100%. You’ve got to live and breathe what you’re writing, and be able to be sarcastic without being hateful. You need to have a voice that’s unique, and have the skills to be a trusted arbiter of taste and reason in the morass of madness that is the internet. Still think that’s you? Send an email and a writing sample to andrew@gfbrobot.com and tell us why. We may not always be looking for writers, but we’ll always read what you send. And any sample submissions remain your property, we won’t post them. (Don’t worry, we’re not trolling for free content or anything…)
Contests:
From time to time, Giant Fire Breathing Robot may run contests or give away prizes. The rules for each contest will be listed in the contest post. Regardless of any posted rules, Giant Fire Breathing Robot reserves the right to change the rules of any contest, giveaway, or promotion at any time to prevent cheating or correct errors. If we think you’re gaming the system to gain an advantage over other entrants, we won’t hesitate to even up the odds, so play fair!
