AITO is the Association Internationale pour les Technologies Objets, a non-profit association registered in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The purpose of the Association is promote the advancement of research in object-oriented technology, primarily in Europe, in particular through the organisation of the annual European Conference for Object-Oriented Programming (ECOOP).

AITO Dahl-Nygaard Prizes 2012

spacer AITO is happy to announce the winners of the Dahl-Nygaard Prizes for 2012.
The Senior Prize winner is Gregor Kiczales, University of British Columbia, Canada, for his work on CLOS and the MOP and for spearheading aspect-orientation and AspectJ.
The Junior Prize winner is Tobias Wrigstad, University of Uppsala, Sweden, for his work on ownership types, 'like' types, and Thorn.
The Dahl-Nygaard Prizes for 2012 will be given during ECOOP 2012 in Beijing, China in June 2012.

The 2013 edition of ECOOP will be held in Montpellier, France.
