Racism has never been an issue as as a mixed race Kiwi white and Pacific that mix is pretty common, and in both countries I 8217;ve played the nerd girl role to a tee t.shirts and jeans and a bare face. Some academics get books out, but have to do this off their own bat and in their own time. And unfortunately industry conferences or even books. don 8217;t count as appropriate research outputs to keep the powers that be paying their salary. Though at least industry conferences pay
