What is this all about?
I am a guy who loves games and because I ended up in IT thinking that I will build awesome games for a living, I decided to start this experiment to motivate myself and hopefully others with similar interests to start doing what I love…games.
This is an experiment on building a complete game for a mobile platform not knowing much about neither game development or mobile platforms. I am a decent software programmer though in other fields.
I will try to document the whole process from inception to hopefully completion and any excursions I might have experimenting with anything game development related.
I sign the posts and code as Impaler. Why the name Impaler? Originally I come from Transylvania and I currently live in London. It was also my nickname on many game servers and using it makes me feel 17 again. My real name is Tamas Jano.
Obviam means “against” in Latin. Why “against“? Because I am against all corporate crap and I am against the thought that work can’t be fun and I am doing this experiment against many odds. The fun has just begun.
